Sergei GutnikovSergei A. Gutnikov

Scientist, researcher and lecturer. Throughout his career Sergei Gutnikov has been interested in computing and he developed several computer-controlled techniques in experimental psychology.
Sergei was the first employee of Peter Rothwell on a stroke research project in Oxford starting in 1997 and has been working at the Centre for Prevention of Stroke and Dementia since its establishment (as Stroke Research Prevention Unit) in 2000. He maintains computer database for the OXVASC project and writes in-house software.

Alexandra den HeijerProf. dr. ir. Alexandra den Heijer

Professor of Public Real Estate Delft University of Technology The Netherlands

Full professor (chair Public Real Estate) at the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment, Delft University of Technology (TU Delft). She has a background in Architecture (BSc) and Management (MSc). Her specialisation is planning, design and management of university campuses and buildings. She focuses on generating management information for (public) real estate decisions. 

Alexandra has always combined her career in academia with projects in (public) practice, including the Central Government Real Estate Agency and DUWO Student Housing. She leads TU Delft’s Campus Research Team – a network of PhD students, postdoc researchers and other university staff members – consisting of a core team at TU Delft and guest researchers and professors, exploring the role of European campuses (and their heritage) in cities, circular campus strategies and the use of smart tools to track people on campus.

 

Shijie YuProf. Shijie Yu

Prof. Shijie Yu has spearheaded several research projects on the provincial as well as ministerial levels and won the Second Prize of National Scientific & Technology Progress. Additionally, five of the courses he has either taught or participated in have achieved distinction for national quality curriculums. In recent years, he has published over 30 research papers, 20 of which are published in SCI, EI and CSSCI and has edited and participated in the compilation of 10 monographs.

Over the years, Prof. Shijie Yu has obtained the honor of Advanced Worker, Excellent Graduate, the First Prize of Tsinghua Technology Achievement, and Beijing Excellent University Instructor and Advanced Worker of Capital College Social Practice.

The 7th Rector and Vice-Chancellor of the University of the Western Cape (UWC). Prof. Pretorius is a Psychologist by training who earned his BA, BA (Honours) and Master of Arts (Psychology) degrees from UWC. He has published extensively in respected national and international journals in the fields of career psychology, coping, stress, statistics and research methodology. In addition, he has served as a journal editor, and authored and co-authored a number of books, monographs and chapters in books. He has been honoured by the Psychology Society of South Africa for his contribution to the discipline. He also participated in the Yale Southern Africa Fellowship programme (Yale University) and completed a Strategic Leadership Programme at Oxford University. He also holds two Doctoral degrees, a DPhil from UWC and a PhD from the University of the Free State.
He is also Emeritus Professor at Monash University in Australia; President of University Sport South Africa and Chairman of the Board of University Sports Company.

Garba Dahuwa Azare is a Professor of Educational Management and Planning. Although adopted Philosophy as an Educationist. Professor Garba Dahuwa Azare started his teaching career as a primary school teacher in the 70s and gradually, expanded further to the university where he spent over thirty eight years from graduate assistant to the rank of a Professor of Educational Administration and Planning.

Until his appointment he was the head of the Department of Education and Dean Faculty of Education, and also Deputy VC Administration in Bayero University Kano. He has been engaged in teaching and conducting researches that foster the development of individuals at various levels in Nigeria and beyond. He served at various capacities including Senior Visiting Lecturer, at West Virginia, University, USA in 1986. Earlier on, He served as the Pioneer Chairman Bauchi State Primary School Management Board, and Commissioner of Education, Bauchi State.

Prof. Garba Dahuwa has Chaired various committees, He was Chairman, Release My Result Committee, Federal Ministry Of Education, and served as member of many boards including National Teachers Institute, Governing Council (2009). Member of Teacher Investigation Panel (TIP), National Teacher Registration Council Of Nigeria.
