2018

History 2018 collage

Among traditionally held annual summits and festivals: ‘Achievements Forum - 2018’, London, UK (17 April 2018); Business Triumph Festival and European Awards Night, Cannes, France (5-6 October 2018) and ‘Oxford Summit of Leaders: Lifelong Learning and one step ahead Business. The necessity to move with the times’, with the holding of newly launched ‘Oxford Debate’ platform covered by live broadcast (18 December 2018), the Summit of Leaders undertook additional Global Club of Leaders Special Session in the Catalan capital Barcelona (2 July 2018), and several International medical conferences in co-operation with European Medical Association (EMA): in Ein Bokek, Israel (11-13 February 2018); in Astana, Kazakhstan: ‘Complementary Medicine and Medical Tourism: In focus Kazakhstan’ (13-16 June 2018); in Ayia Napa, Cyprus: ‘Touristic and Resort City: Nowadays and Tomorrow, Challenges and Opportunities’ (12-13 November 2018). 


 2017

The first in the row of ’The Best Medical Practice’ project healthcare events has opened the year 2017 in Dubai, UAE. Leading medical centers and quality healthcare providers gathered together to share experiences and visit one of the world biggest medical expos – Arab Health 2017.

The annual London Achievements Forum 2017 attracted the record number of countries – 55! CEOs and University rectors were provided up-to-date key topics for discussion and an interactive presentation platform in the high end sceneries of the Institute of Directors, the oldest business club in the U.K.  

Popular intensive expert sessions in Oxford aiming at enhancing business processes and staff skills of regional companies covered Investment Management, Leadership and Self-Branding, International and Online Marketing related topics and provided attendees with a great competitive advantage with short-term advanced seminars and group discussions from the world capital of education.

This year Oxford Expert Business Centre continued The Guest Professor / Guest Speaker facilitating activities by promoting and bringing the best UK professors and experts as guest lecturers and keynote speakers to regional Universities and conferences. 

 

The stream of business missions of Summit of Leaders to most investment attractive and business favourable regions has begun with the International Investment Conference in Vilnius, Lithuania.

The event was marked with 2 main sessions – introduction of EU country business opportunities and presentation of home and foreign medical sector players to promote the medical travel sector as the most promising cooperation and partnership trend. 

 

 

 

2016 

On the 22th of March 2016 the annual Achievements Forum was held as the first in the row of the scheduled international initiatives to provide our global community members with a unique opportunity to present themselves to the target audience of 120 executives, investors, academia and like-minded professionals from 32 world countries.

The international ‘Prime Business Destinations: Investment, Innovations, Business Process Improvement’ forum was held on the 29th of June, 2016 in Bad-Ems, Germany. The conference was supported by the European Medical Association (EMA), Belgium, and provided the working session with key-note topic ‘Healthcare: Traditions, Innovations, Quality and Certification’. It had a great professional resonance for the lead medical sector organizations of 22 countries. 

 

The bespoke European Awards Night was held in the celebrity sceneries of Cannes in France on the 7th of October. 

The Summit of Leaders 2016 as the traditional grand-scale gathering. For years it proves to be a source of inspiration, learning and transformation for those who are looking to build better businesses and a better society, to share innovative ideas, workable business strategies, sum up the academic activities of the passing year and celebrate success of regional leading educational institutions and private sector.  

 

 

 

The guest star of the Summit was H.E. Dr. Bonginkosi Nzimande, Minister of Higher Education and Training, Republic of South Africa, MP presenting state educational initiatives and viable innovative approaches to education with government support.

2016 has opened a continued intensive educational course for C-level executives and professionals by the bespoke British and international University professors and mentors from the Academic Union Training Centre Oxford. A unique and effective ‘Global Business For Efficient Manager’ programme includes workable Investment management strategies, effective team building and organizational behavior insights, international marketing and digital marketing technologies, leadership and self-branding trends to name a few. The Academic Lounge hosts VIP format seminars and business meetings providing international participants with the unique Oxford experience for career promotion, updated, interesting and highly topical content as well as comfortable and participant-friendly environment.  

2015

The first event of the year was the Achievements Forum dedicated to the presentation of Prime Business Destinations emerging cities. The cities gave presentations to investment potential in their respective regions as well as their plans for the future. Memorandums of cooperation between 12 cities were signed.
The year was full of many other events in the framework of the Prime Business Destinations programme hosted in Switzerland, Cannes, Jordan and Oxford. Participants from more than 60 countries presented more than 120 investment and innovative projects.
The Academic Union initiated and co-organised remarkable events including visiting session ‘University of the Future; University Cities and Health Tourism ‘ at the Near East University. Also Dr Costigliola became the Honourary President of the AUO.

On the 15th of December the Academic Lounge was opened by Lord Digby Jones, member of the House of Lords, UK. 

During Summit of Leaders in Oxford, the AU international incentive Smart Education Platform was presented. It will be launched in 2016 with the author programme ‘Global Business for an Efficient Manager’.
The traditional Summit of Leaders and Socrates ceremony culminated the year. 

 

 

 

2014

The events calendar was opened by the London Summit of Leaders 'Rapid Urbanization: Economy, Society, Management'.

In October, at the Oxford Summit of Leaders, the memorandum of incorporation of the Academic Union was signed by over 70 University chancellors and academics.

The Prime Business Destinations programmes was also launched to promote cities as attractive investment destinations.

 

 

2013

As a part of the initiative to support sport, St. Hilda’s College Ladies rowing team was sponsoret. Sir Richard Needham and Sir John Banham attended the London Summit. Sir Richard Needham’s ambition has always been to stand up for business in both Parliament and politics. From 1985- 1992, Richard Needham was the minister responsible for redesigning and rebuilding Ireland’s shattered towns and cities, and in 1992 he was promoted to Minister of Trade and became Michael Heseltime’s Deputy. Sir John Banham DL is Britain’s most successful business leader, Knighted for his services to British business in the 1992 New Year’s Honours List.   

 

2012 

The 'Achievements-2012' forum was held at the British Institution of Directors, London UK

Dublin, the capital of Ireland was host to a multitude of business and investment project presentations. The meeting was opened by N.Murrey, Lord Mayor of Dublin. Businessmen and investors from 24 countries took part in the forum. The autumn Summit of the Leaders was opened by the UK Member of European Parliament, Derek Clerk.

Knowledge is the currency of the 21st century’ – Lord Digby Jones first spoke at the Oxford Summit of Leaders on the future of world economy. Lord Digby Jones is the former minister of State for UK Trade and Investment. He was knighted in 2005 for his services to business and in 2007 he was appointed Minister of State for UK Trade and Investment taking the title, Digby, Lord Jones of Birmingham Kt. 

2011 

Elise Benjamin, the Lord Mayor of Oxford, held a summit devoted to new models of management for modern cities. Mayors, heads of administration, city managers and scientists from 27 countries took part.

2008

This year marked the beginning of the Annual New Year’s and Christmas ball in Vienna, Austria. Further events concerning education and business in Barcelona, Malta, Jordan and the UK also took place.    

 

2007

2006 

In cooperations with The Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce Group the ‘Global Club of Leaders’ was established – to support cooperation between the British and international businessmen. Paul Briggs became the president of the Global Club of Leaders. The International Club of Rectors was also formed. 

2005  

International conference 'EuroEducation 2005' was held in Oxford, UK.

International business meeting 'Investing East Europe', held in London, UK.

2004  

In December the first Summit of Leaders took place at the Institute of Directors in London bringing together businessmen to discuss issues of international cooperation. 2004 also marks the beginning of the annual Oxford gathering at the Town Hall.

2003 

Economic forums held in Belgorod, Russia; Damascus, Syria; and Antwerp, Belgium.
